Monte de Piedad is here to help people through the rough times when they are suddenly faced with increased financial burdens. We’re viewed as a neighborhood business that is truly here to help its neighbors…..both in San Ysidro and on the other side of the border in Tijuana, Mexico…..and now also in San Diego County.
We’re also here to give our friends and our neighbors a higher value for the items that they put up for collateral, and to charge service fees that are considered very fair in the industry.

If a customer chooses to relinquish an Item to us, we have the opportunity to sell that item. We do not price that item individually but rather price it based on weight. This is a tremendous advantage to you our jewelry customer since you are never charged for the artistic quality of the piece. You can rest assured that this is far less than you would be charged for that same piece in a retail jewelry store.

Having said that, let us assure you that we really don’t want your pawned jewelry. In fact, we have put in a number of lenient systems to make sure you have every opportunity to keep your items.

For example, if you can not repay the loan on the due date, simply give us a call and we will cheerfully extend your loan another month……or maybe you require another 5 months. Simply pay us only the interest due and we will extend you loan another 5 months.
